Mill Creek Ranch Resort Announces Grand Opening Date

Canton, TX (PRWEB) June 16, 2008 -- The vision of a group of East Texas businessmen has come to fruition in the development of Mill Creek Ranch Resort located at 2102 N Trade Days Blvd in Canton, TX. From the beginning, it was their desire to build a resort unlike any in Texas -- one that would become a major event based recreation resort for the East Texas area. Mill Creek Ranch Resort provides overnight accommodations with cottages and RV sites - all with the top of the outdoor hospitality industry in mind.

The official grand opening scheduled for July 10, 2008 from 5:30- 8:30pm will celebrate the new 7000 sq. ft. Grand Lodge and the completion of the RV Resort, infrastructure, and the cottage areas. The Grand Lodge reflects the image of some of the great National Park lodges - with Texas flair. It is made from timbers and Austin Stone and provides the ideal setting for conferences, seminars, events, weddings, corporate events and family reunions. It contains the most modern industry standards for audio visual equipment in order to host meetings of the highest technical level. All cottages and RV sites are equipped with cable TV, WiFi, and the cottages have a sophisticated phone system so that cell coverage is never an issue.

Besides the excellent facilities, the environment of the 200-acre RV & cottage resort has been protected and enhanced. Bud Surles, a former National Park Service executive and award winning State Park Director has been called upon to design the total environment of the resort to reflect the beauty of the lush character of East Texas. Portions of the land have been set aside for wildlife management and the entire area is designed environmentally friendly.

Entertainment will be provided for the Grand Opening throughout the resort. It will be broadcast on local radio and special foods from local caterers will be provided for all.
